GCI’s Drilling Department is seeking to fill a full-time Lead Driller position as well as a full-time Drilling Assistant position. The Lead Driller will be responsible for performing subsurface exploration duties using conventional drilling or in-situ testing techniques. Drilling may include auger drilling, mud rotary drilling, and diamond bit coring techniques. The Drilling Assistant is responsible for assisting the Lead Driller on construction site locations to perform routine testing for project documentation. GCI is looking for individuals who enjoy working outside and who possess a “can do” attitude.
GCI’s Environmental Services Department is seeking a full-time wetland consultant with 2+ years’ experience in wetland delineation, stream evaluations, federal Clean Water Act Section 404 permits, and state Section 401 water quality certifications. Ideal candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, willingness to work outdoors, and ability to interact with regulators and clientele. Experience in Phase I/Phase II ESAs and other environmental services catering to the real estate development industry is a plus.
GCI’s NDE Department is currently accepting resumes from experienced structural steel inspectors to perform field observations and testing at construction sites throughout Ohio. The qualified candidate should have experience inspecting welded and bolted construction using VT, MT, PT, and UT inspection procedures. AWS or ICC certifications are a plus as is quality control and inspection experience.
Field Services: GCI’s three locations (Columbus, Dayton and Youngstown) continually accept resumes from experienced field technicians to perform field observations and testing at construction sites throughout Ohio. The qualified applicant should have experience in testing of soil, concrete, masonry and asphalt. ACI, ICC, and NICET certifications are a plus. Qualified candidates must have suitable transportation for use on construction sites. We compensate company mileage.
Engineering Services: GCI is continually accepting resumes from entry level and experienced geotechnical engineers. Qualified candidates will ideally have a BSCE degree (MSCE a plus), have passed the EI (PE a plus), and have 3 to 5 years of experience in the geotechnical or materials testing field.
