GCI Operations Update – April 13, 2020

Dear Friends,

I hope this message finds you and your loved ones well. Despite the serious restrictions necessary to combat COVID-19, GCI continues to serve our clients and community. I want to assure you that safety is always our top priority. Here are some of the adjustments GCI has made to keep everyone safe while essential design and construction work continues.

Construction testing – our field services department is fully operational. GCI staff reporting for work have their temperature taken at the start of each day before going to a site. A temperature above 100.4 F means STAY HOME and follow CDC recommendations on returning to work.

Construction testing

In-house testing lab – GCI’s soils and construction materials testing lab continues to operate at full capacity. Employees practice social distancing, disinfect hands often with hand sanitizer or soap and water for at least 20 seconds, and often-touched objects and surfaces are frequently cleaned and disinfected.

Geotechnical engineering – drilling and engineering work is progressing on schedule. Meetings are held by telephone and/or teleconference, or if in person meetings are required, individuals stay at least six feet apart.

Environmental – assessments, inspections and remediation services for environmental due diligence, design, clean-up and construction continue to be performed with all necessary precautions.

Office staff – the majority of our office staff continue to work remotely. The best way to reach our staff is by cell or email. Staff contact info is on our website at www.gci2000.com/gci-team. If you need assistance, please call our office at 614.895.1400.
