Founded in 1979 as a traditional soils and foundation engineering company, Geotechnical Consultants, Inc. (GCI) has evolved into a multidisciplinary firm providing clients with geotechnical engineering, environmental consulting, and construction materials engineering and testing services. Our staff is presently comprised of approximately 80 professional engineers, geologists, environmental specialists, and technical support staff at locations in Ohio and Charlotte, North Carolina. Throughout our growth we have maintained a core philosophy of providing innovative and practical solutions to clients with integrity, quality, and personal attention.

Currently, GCI has completed over 14,000 projects for commercial and municipal clients, including architects, engineers, developers, owners, contractors, and state and local government agencies. We have provided these services for the design of structural foundations, roadways, dams, embankments, retaining structures, and other major projects. One of our primary services is to provide foundation recommendations to clients. GCI has provided foundation recommendations for civil engineering projects including regional malls, lifestyle centers and retail developments; educational and sports facilities; office complexes; warehouse developments and logistics centers; and transportation and other infrastructure improvements.
